About ALTEC

The Advanced Learning Technologies in Education Collaborative at the University of Kansas Center for Research on Learning became a Division in the Center for Research on Learning (KU-CRL) in 1995, contributing to the KU-CRL mission. As a non-academic unit at the University of Kansas, the Center focuses on creating solutions that make a difference for educators, learners, employers, and policy makers.  ALTEC encourages collaboration, resource sharing, and alliances that help educators and students.

ALTEC is committed to the development and use of technology to empower education leaders and classroom teachers to redefine learning experiences for students. ALTEC seeks to partner with those who recognize the tremendous capabilities available through digital strategies for dissemination, communication, collaboration and learning.
